Meet Charles Negromonte

Charles Negromonte is a distinguished Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Zé Radiola, renowned for his competitive achievements and coaching expertise. Born on September 29, 1988, in Recife, Brazil, Negromonte initially pursued soccer and skateboarding before dedicating himself to BJJ in 2005. His commitment led him to train under Radiola, eventually earning his black belt in 2012.

Throughout his career, Negromonte has amassed numerous accolades, including gold medals at the IBJJF European Open No-Gi (2015), CBJJ Brazilian Nationals No-Gi (2014), and multiple titles at the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam events. Notably, he clinched the prestigious 'King of Mats' title in 2018, defeating esteemed competitors like André Galvão.

Negromonte's technical prowess is characterized by a strong foundation in fundamentals, emphasizing heavy pressure passing and control. He has also developed a dynamic stand-up game, integrating wrestling techniques to enhance his versatility.

As a coach, he excels in deconstructing complex techniques into manageable steps, enabling students to grasp positional nuances effectively.

Currently serving as a lead instructor at the Roger Gracie Academy in London, Negromonte's extensive experience in both competition and coaching makes him an exceptional coach for teaching at Algarve BJJ Camp. His ability to convey intricate techniques with clarity, combined with his competitive insights, would significantly benefit practitioners seeking to elevate their skills. Moreover, his approachable demeanor and dedication to student development foster a positive learning environment, ensuring participants gain both technical proficiency and confidence in their BJJ journey.
